VIDEO NE VIDEO

In the video installation a wall projection and a monitor face one other: the video projection shows Peter Weibel and the screen shows my hands which are drawing and writing. Solely by means of the illustrations I present and explain to the curator my recent works, including the works-in-progress. Peter Weibel then nods or shakes his head to indicate his understanding of my visual explanations.
The video installation is a rerun of that “conversation” between Peter Weibel, the curator of the show, and me, the artist. For this video work visual conversation between the curator and me was recorded while we sat in the same room without being able to see each other and without speech. Peter Weibel and I communicated via two monitors using direct video transmission, recording both of us at the same time. This video material was later shown in the exhibition without any editing.
